Mari Di Colori, Italian for “sea of colours,” is an eye-catching, medium-sized colourful abstract painting on canvas. It is an original piece of contemporary art, available for sale. From the outset, the artwork feels bold and expressive. It features vibrant reds, greens, and blues, while touches of turquoise stand out beautifully against the darker tones.
The Italian title came about during a simple conversation with my son. At the time, I was searching for a suitable name for the piece. Therefore, when he suggested using Italian, I immediately connected with the idea. After all, Mari Di Colori perfectly reflects the lively and flowing nature of the painting. In essence, it captures the feeling of a colourful and energetic water scene.
As with much of my abstract work, I began this painting without a fixed plan. Instead, I allowed the process to unfold naturally. As a result, the colours and forms developed freely on the canvas. Throughout the process, I followed intuition rather than structure. Ultimately, the artwork came together organically, creating a piece that feels balanced, fluid, and alive.

Painted on hand made quality 420 gsm duck cotton stretched canvas, using acrylic paint, and epoxy resin by Artresin,

36 x 24 x 1.5 inches deep edge stretched canvas.
Shipping:
I will ship my artwork worldwide.
The artwork will be shipped still on the stretched canvas. This is because this style of artwork cannot be rolled into a tube for shipping due to it having a coat of resin.
I take great care when packaging my artwork ready for shipping. The artwork will be wrapped in foam or bubble wrap, in between either 3mm MDF or some hardboard to avoid damage whilst being shipped.
